A nuclear pules engine in theory could work if you have a controled explosion like that that could release the exaust. The flames and explosion would blow apart the thruster system. Instead use the pulses from the engines thrust and fully contain the explosion and use that to charge the capacitors for the ion or magnetic pulses. They are much lighter and don't need to take as much abuse. The traveling of above light speeds is something else though. Once you do that then you have to come back to where you started. I've been thinking of ways for space travel for a long time. It's all pretty simple. I think I've solved it all. You just can't outrun the fuel you're putting in. I know how too...nah I've never seen the future or invented things before I just look at images. Seems like it took a long time to do.
