Description

When the "Rocketship" from Cybertenko and the "Pulp SciFi Spaceship" from Coflek-Gnorg meet. Figures in Poser, rendered in Vue, postwork in ON1 Effects Standalone. I think these two models capture the "Industrial" vs. the "sleek/shiny" looks of retro-scifi, which I have tried to replicate with the crew. Happy Holidays to all.

Great scene, I could not help- wondering what somebody in the 1930s or 1950s would make of an image like this if you could take it back there and show it to them.

I've yet to purchase Coflek-Gnorg's version, but when I do, I will likely use his version as a vessel of Mongo employ Cyberyenko's interpretation as Dr. Zarkoff's ship. With its bulkier fuselage, gridwork of rivets and "intrusive" reactor, that Cybertenko's craft suggests it was built by a society attempting its initial ascents into space. Coflek's, on the other hand, is more streamlined and compact. It's drive system neatly tucked out of view and thus possesses a more open "cabin" section implying it was built by a society that has had long practice with this kind of engineering.

I can imagine Flash, Dale and Zarkoff using 'Tenko's ship to reach Mongo where it is damaged upon landing. During their adventures, they, ahem, "procure" a fast "skiff" belonging to Ming's armada, represented by Gnorg's model.

How is Coflek-Gnorg's outer hull mapped? If used as one of Ming's "yachts", I'd think it would have some garish livery, some sort of "sunburst" design radiating from the "nose" of the bullet shaped hull, yellow against a fire engine red background.

Sincerely,

Bill

Wow, this is the longest, most well-thought-out comment I have gotten since I started posting about 18 months ago. Thanks very much, you made my day.

The outer hull of Coflek's ship is divided over several objects, so it would not be straightforward to map a single template over it, which is a shame.
