I created a new, life-sized display for my front yard this Christmas. The skeleton is a Halloween prop in a costume I bought on sale the day after that holiday (skeleton was about $40 and the costume was under $15). The Scrooge figure is built on a frame of PVC pipe (with some cool articulated joints that let me move arms and elbows) and some zombie hands and feet that I repainted. Mask is on a wire cage and illuminated by a bright LED bulb inside the old man mask (purchased at Amazon, along with the costume). The tombstone is Foamcore board, carved and then painted. Scrooge name is illuminated from inside by red spotlights, so it can be seen from a good distance. Whole thing illuminated by a single blue spot and a black light LED. -------------- Next year, I will add the Ghost of Christmas Past, and possibly Present.
