Description
Normally after a hiatus I get some ideas to work on but this time around, nada :-p
I fished around my folder, looking at old renders, still waiting for that lightning to zap me but still, nada...
I did, however, come across some old stuff that I rejected for various reasons, that I thought looked pretty alright this time around, what with this drought in my creative junk brain blob lol
Anyhoo, do enjoy whichever you can, discard those you can't. How? I don't know, mentally delete them or something :-D
Peace, guys.

A very nice collection of "rejects", hope you find your muse soon...

If these are REJECTS... well...
The third one (close portrait) is particularly good. Lovely composition and tonality

Hahaha! What xou consider "rejrcts" would be masterpieces on my side!!
Honestly: with such a face, how could they be rejects? I wish I had that face in my runtime - or even better in my life. So if these are rejects, then post em all! We won't reject them - for sure!!!
Have a nice and creative 2019…

I think your "rejects" put my best work to shame!

REJECTS??? Thanks for that big laugh. Don't know what sparks your ideas, but how about a companion for your priceless lovely (male, female, furry or whatever)? Have a wonderful new year with lots of fantastic renders: I am surely ready to admire your renders - and your rejects.

Mmmm...hands down it will be a female, if ever lol...but yeah, interesting notion. Might be worth exploring. Thanks so much!

I dunno . . . I kinda like all of the images in your collage. My favorite is that closeup second from bottom.

WOW - I think they are beautiful!

A full version of the middle one would be sweet, give her an elf ear and I'm in love! The pov and depth blur is perfect, man I can see a few different light sets, it would be so hard to pick a fav, lol, keep up the good work. The quest for the perfect render continues...

Hmmmm.....as you may have guessed, those are elf earrings, soooo...mmmm-hmmm (doing some visualizing)...yeah, might be worth a second take, if I can find the file. It's named girl222222222 or something (don't ask why :-p), so we'll see if I'm up to it...thanks a bunch

I echo the sentiments of those who shake their heads wondering how these could be rejects. It would have been illuminating to have read your reasons for placing them in such a category but in the meantime my vote goes to the 2nd image. The adjective flawless comes to mind. :-)

Mmmhhhmm...it's always difficult to assign words to meaning and/or reasoning, isn't it? The closest I'd dare to venture would be that it didn't feel right in my gut. Not much by way of guidance lol, but meh, it's true that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, for what I consider as rejects would, in the eyes of the visitor, look better than those I consider as keepers lol.
Sometimes, though, it may be technical (the 'flawless' one you speak so highly of is a case in point : her earrings slightly defy gravity upon closer, more objective inspection), but then it may be argued that similar defects exist in those I choose to share as keepers, and for some reason I'm blinded to them (pick any work of mine and put on your nitpicky hat and you'll find it)
In the final analysis, I suppose it all boils down to my mood and temperament. As frail as it may seem, that's the absolute standard by which a render either ends up in the gallery or buried in the oblivion that is my hard drive lol.
