Description

Corneilla de Conflent (Pyrénées, France), a romanesque church The bell tower dates from the 11th century, it is the oldest part of this church that remains. It is built by an apparatus of stones shaped with the hammer. It is 22 meters high. The wide opening on its last floor is necessary for the movement of the bells. Corneilla de Conflent. Eglise romane Le clocher date du XI ème siècle, c'est la partie de cette église la plus ancienne qui subsiste. Il est bâti par un appareillage de pierres façonnées au marteau. Il est haut de 22 mètres. La large ouverture sur son dernier étage est nécessaire pour le mouvement des cloches. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200

Ce très ancien clocher est superbe, avec ses décorations en arches, et ses belles fenêtres romanes, les plus hautes étant plus larges car dédiées aux cloches......magnifique prise de vue avec un coin de montagne au fond, Jean-Claude !
