Description

I'm not back yet, but I dropped by to say hi, and wanted to post a winter image since some of you have had real snow. Rod posted some snow shots---the heavy kind (loved the shots)---so here's one of mine: This is from a few years back; a few blocks from home... Ok: A shout out to 2 people: 1) To Harry (goodoleboy), who's returned after a series of health matters hit him: I hope they'll leave you for good now, Harry! I hope you feel better! 2) And to Mike (Faemike55), who's having medical tests on Wednesday: Everybody send their wishes through the air: He's had his fill of medical and other matters...I wish you the very best with it, Mike. You deserve it! Here's to a healthy and fulfilled year for everyone! Thanks for all your love and visits! m (I posted a slightly different version of this a ways back...) ------------------

In one respect I am envious of all that snow - we haven't had any where I work - got either rain or sunshine. Thanks for the shout out and I'm glad that Harry is doing better.

we haven't had any snow beyond a dusting. I'm fine with that. this is a cool photo. the strong light and shadow looks terrific, especially on the right hand building. the shadows from the branches are dramatic and a bit spooky but really, really cool. it looks like fingers spreading across the windows trying to find a warm place to hide. the bright blue sky in the background is beautiful with no sign of snow clouds for awhile.

This is a really gorgeous image, Mark! It has that wonderful oil-painterly look, and the leading lines draw you right in... A real beauty, buddy!

Hey, if you need some of this blasted white there in Chi-Town, I'll be happy to send you my driveway. I'll have UPS deliver it - ground of course. This stuff is way to heavy to send Next Day.... 🤣

Glad Harry is doing better, and lost of prayers and good vibes for Mike.

Terrific contrast, depth and a strong deep color job on this exquisite snow shot, Mark. It portrays an act of nature which would be considered science fiction down here in my area. On the plus side is the fact that we are receiving a good stretch of badly needed rain here in So Calif, getting us above normal for the season. The excessive heat we were continually experiencing is gone, at least for a while. And thanks for the kind get well words on me up above. Plus thanks to the others for their kind words. I still hurt, but not as bad as before, that coupled with the diminishing of stress from other factors.

very beautiful snow fall and composition. I do not exactly recall the last year we had snow that covered the ground and trees

Such a beautiful capture and I love the sight of the snow... as long as it isnt here, that is. But it is so beautiful. I am happy for Harry and I say good Luck to Mike.

Did I mention it was 90 here today? I realize nobody wants to hear about it, but hey. The pool was crowded this afternoon ... it was crazy! I hate that. We all have our problems. 😂🤣😂
