Help!!!!!!I need some inspiration!!!! I was looking at a Luis Royo Painting yesterday (Preliminary) and I would love to learn to paint like him one day (computer generated of course). I got as far as the pose...but I got a long way to go. Does anyone have any suggestions or links they can lead me to? Thanks :) Daelyn2 ~ Dangerkitty [RMP] Blouse ~ SuiteRDNA ~ Visual Silence [RDNA Store] Thong ~ EMW Heroine Outfit ~ CarolineG and Royloo [PoserPros Store] Gothic Prison ~ Awful Soul [RFS] Action Lights ~ Dave71 [RMP] Hair and Postwork in Photoshop!! Pat, he seems to have a number of different styles. On the one hand, the images may be with more muted or earthtone/sepia colors, not quite like the style LadyJaiven uses, but somewhat similar. On the other hand he makes use of some really vibrant colors, particularly in landscapes with sunrises/sunsets. A couple things I think that might bring your character more into line with his work: slightly more muscular in appearance, and I note he frequently uses gold and red tones in the skin. Also skin is often shiny as with oils or sweat. They're usually quite athletic in appearance. Don't know if this will help; sure hope so. I like what you have so far.

no no no!!! oh, gosh, please do not misunderstand whenst i say this, but find generic tuts if that's the way you want to go... create your own style and look at a large variety of artists so that maybe you can learn from each, mixing things into your very own unique look... we've already so many folks trying to emulate Royo, etc. and there are but an extremely small number of folks here that come even close... ...but what made him stand out? originality & style... make sense?

Sweet heart, everybody here wants to be like Royo. Roy, Royo, Royo, this is all I hear every day ! I'd say that everybody should have his OWN style and not try to copy. Be yourself and be happy of it ! You made a fantastic image here !! You have your own style and your style is PERFECT !

Lovely image Pat ... nothing wrong with trying your hand at imitating an artist's work that you admire, but I have to agree with Giana. There are so many techniques and styles you can learn from, but finding your own unique style is most important ... takes time though ... I'm still looking. :-)

This one almost got passed me...but knew I must have missed something when I read your most recent post " MY STYLE " This is a very tough thing to find within ourselves when we are influenced by so many Artists from the Past & the Present....I myself have done Artwork by hand and digitally and I must say I still don't really know what my style is at all...I go with the moment and that's all... To really find that special something, I guess could happen if we experiment with our own imaginations... To let go and to just try a style that very is different...Easy to say....but hard to find sometime. Technique is another way and this comes with practice and also experimentation....If you really want inspiration to come you may need to relax and not think of it at all.... Just daydream a little.... and WHOP ! Something will Grab Ya and you will be on your way.... Your Amazing Pat.... & you will find your style.... All The Best Always... Jim L Mattson
