Description

Nepsia, one of the seven daughters of Neptune, visits us to warn humans to stop treating the oceans as their garbage dump. Many folks do not realize that 70% of the earth's oxygen comes from the ocean's phytoplankton. Pollution (e.g., fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, ships dumping on the sly raw human waste) and global warming are killing off the plankton, and thus reducing the earth's oxygen levels. Kill the oceans, kill life on earth. One way to help combat the onslaught on our oceans is to buy organic--good for you and for the earth. Thanks for the view and your kind comments...appreciate your support.

This daughter of Neptune is really a marvellous siren! Superb underwater decor and colors, great image, Barb!

And you are right, all life on Earth is threatened by all the follies of humanity, including irrational over-consumption...

It's very well done, I like it very much, it's a pure coincidence, yesterday I took out my first underwater rendering and it's a siren, but it's more refined, yours is full of little details, I couldn't add much, it took 7 hours to get out 🌟

Love the detail and creative way you did this character. Also polluting the oceans is still an serious issue today.

A magnificent undersea work of art, Barb! Love it - so colorful, just like the real thing.

Important message too.. I just wish the "leadership" ( I use the term VERY loosely) of this country - and several others - would pull their collective heads out of their butts and realize that NOW is the time to turn things around - instead of acting like a bunch of spoiled 4-year-olds.Idiots.

An excellent image, she looks awesome! The oceans are in trouble, over fishing and pollution are at a tipping point. Radiation from the Japan Fukushima nuclear disaster has been found on the beaches of California, scary... 😨

Your message is right. This is one of the best mermaid scenes I've seen, she really does look like she's underwater. Nice work with colors, bubbles and motion.
