Description

A Captivating Look - To achieve a captivating look, I seat the subject and have them angle about 45-degrees away from me. The distant arm is wrested on the lap, while I have them reach down towards their knee with the arm closest to the camera. This drops the shoulder. Pointing the nose at the main light, have have them keep their eye on my lens, and I ask them to tilt their head slightly towards the other shoulder. This makes it appear that they are turning their ear towards the viewer while looking them in the eyes. It's captivating because your subject looks interested in the viewer (you).
