Description
From current occasion, I have a sad picture this time.
Last weekend, my cat passed away after nearly 17 years. A long time for a cat that has lived mostly outside, but still far too short.

A feel your loss deeply as well. Three years ago, we had to say goodbye to Misty, our beloved calico cat. She was a house cat her entire life. She was with is 15 years. Two years ago, we sadly said goodbye to our dearly beloved Empress Diamond. She was also with is almost 16 years. She is really and truly missed. But for each loss, there has been a renewal. First, Lady Hope came into our lives from her hard life on the streets. She was practically dead, just skin and bones and had a terrible wound on her side. My wife tended to her needs right away. With doctoring and good food, she rebounded and is now a dear and beloved member of our family. She is our sentry cat since she likes it outside more than inside, but when the weather is bad, she prefers being indoors and has established herself at the top of the pecking order of our household cats. Then, this past July, my wife was visiting a neighbor. One of their many cats had a litter of cute kittens. She picked one up and petted it because she just couldn't resist. Well, we live three houses away from the neighbors. She walked up the alley to our house and when she looked behind her, who should be there but the cute little black kitty she had just given back to the neighbor. We got adopted again. She is named Bright Eyes and we have totally taken her into our family and hearts. I truly believe in the cycle of life! Hope I haven't rambled on too much here but thought I would share a little of our experiences with these dear friends and family members.

Hi there I'm so sorry for your loss, and if you browse through my gallery you'll find, that I can really emphatize with you. Your pictures reminds me of my first cat. She was suddenly ill and we had to bring her into a vet clinics. How ever even aftet 5 days being there the doctors couldn't help her and we had to put her down. So I walked out of the clinics with a box in my hands and tears in my eyes (does this be familiar to you?). She was my love and just reached 10 1/2 years. After that we got a little cute Siamese kitty. To make a long story short: she was runover by a car with just 11 months of age ( yes, she wasn't even granted one year of life) again a sad box in my hands and tears in my eyes. 2 1/2 years ago I had to put down by beloved Felix (who still accompanies my Renders every now and then). As Radar_rad-dude wrote, we also always found a new beloved cat in our life. Though no one could replace the one we lost (and this will never be the case anyway) they became perfect successors to the ones who left us. Once the pain has vanished a little keep the good memories and maybe make place for another cat to fill your life with joy again. Whish you a lot of love and strength in this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

My condolences, it has only been half a year since my kitty Onyx died, and I miss her poking about. This is a beautiful tribute.
