My favorite car photos that you take are the ones with NO HUMANS in the shot. Although all these photos of this 1929 Mercedes Gazelle are beautiful, the second photo is superb.

So many people at these events it is virtually impossible to snap a full size car pic without people invading the scene. I would have been there for several more hours if I had to wait each time for that perfect moment with no humans around so I could click that shutter.

Oh, man! What a beauty! Fantastic shots, Harry!
Shooting at an event like this can be a challenge. Seems like there's always some bozo that walks right in front of you just as you press the shutter..

Boy it's nice to see you get 12 comments (minus mine)---you deserve so much more. I understand what you wrote to your son, re people in the shot. Even in museums---which are more controlled environs---there are people. It's just not possible to get these shots without people in the way, but you weave people into the shot, compositionally, so they add rather than detract.
What a stunning bunch of car shots. The top shot gives a long beautiful view of this laid-back leisurely car. It's splendid, both the shot, and the car. And the people are all lined in a line above the car---as if they were told to conform to a linear standard. And one of the people has a bright red shirt which harmonizes with the interior plus chrome hues of the Mercedes (and with the color of the car in the background). Really well composed and cropped, Harry. I should add, "as always".
2 is a beautiful front shot, with terrific sheen and light. And your angle allows for a lot of dynamics, visually. Lots of dramatic lines. And such a clean grill: It's almost like marble. You know what to highlight...this is beautiful.
Finally, 3 is a beautiful back shot---with an animal tail? I've never seen that on a car before. Yeah, there are people getting in the way, but again, you caught this in a way that the people seem secondary, they don't interfere anymore than they should. You got a lot of space around the car too, considering the human traffic of this place.
A beautiful collection, of a beautiful car (and some real beauties around it too.) Really, if people are gonna get in these shots, they should at least wear dinner jackets and gowns! They should hand them out at the entrance...(yeah, like that's gonna happen...) This recent spate of car shots have been beautiful.
