I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

We can't always make money from what we love to do, only the most fortunate have that opportunity but it should never stop us from doing exactly what we enjoy doing. I like your choice! Great image btw!

I saw this when it went up, and I'm sorry I'm only commenting now, some 2 weeks later. I didn't think about the fact that 2 weeks had passed. I loved it, as well as your text, and I'm really glad that many of us could help you get over your frustrations faster than you thought (I understood them totally, regardless), and that you came back faster than you thought. Even in my efforts to catch publishers' attentions, I'm not doing it for money nearly as much as for the hope of being read by people who don't normally cross my path. I don't know if I'll succeed, but it's definitely about more than money. (Though I wouldn't turn down the money---don't get me wrong! If a magazine pays me, I'm not gonna say, "ohhhhhh, you didn't have to do that!") You returned with a big splash of glorious reds and yellow tones, with a wonderful interior image near a pool, and Phaetara in a smashing chrome-toned dress, posed like a classic 40s, 50s pinup, w/ great pose, suggestive eyes (great work on the eyeliner), hair to match her dress as well as all the reds in the piece, great contrasts in light from her legs to her much more lit-up upper torso, and placed in this interior pool area with just the right placement and proportions. You've surrounded your model beautifully, and given her the perfect dress for the image. Beautiful work---even the grasses on the top are beautifully lit, with those orange undertones. Also, you've composed her against the stones beautifully too. Splendid work, Rod. (And I saw the next installment of your story, and man you have some cinematic 'shots' in that thing that are to die for. I'll comment on your other work this week: I'm back for a few days and I'll get to them all.) The reds here are sumptuous, making Phaetara emerge out of them as if this space were made just for her. You're 3D work is sumptuous and the light is gorgeous. (And ain't this a peach of a winter, as you suggest? We midwesterners deserve awards for what we put up with! I've been so dry, my face cracked, and now I look like one of those frescoes from the Renaissance, which are in dire need of restoration.)

Phae can warm the coldest of winters. 🙂 That water's going to really boil once she gets in!
(Why didn't I look her up when I was going through my winter doldrums? Gah.)
