You had a very intense portrait style back in the 80s (maybe you do today, too...I don't know). This is another of your intense introspective portraits, with those very dark features incl those dark outlined eyes. She has a sense of being deep in thought or memory. And your white skin is starkly white, making very dramatic contrast. You create almost etched effects in some of these pieces, even though this feels like a viscous drawing medium. Your background is grainy and intense. And your composition has her to one side, as if we caught her in a private moment---she's not posing, for sure; this is a private moment. Very intense and beautiful, Steve.
