Description
Series Title : "Ionivka : Big-Feet Mutant"
Episode 1 : "The Posthumous Letters"
The few following pages are very complex because I am introducing many important themes, technologies, and many aspects of the social context. Because of that, I am showing the top half of the page; the bottom part will follow.
With her father, Boris, Ionivka visited the burial site of her mother, Iuskyva. Knowing that she will have difficult times for the coming months, he gives her the monitoring collar of her mother as a souvenir object. Back home, a month later, Boris installed a similar collar to Ionivka. Such collar is a component of a monitoring and enforcing system that every Big-Feet individual should wear in that country : Yfer. In that country, Boris is registered as being the master and father of Ionivka and as being, until her death, the master and husband of Iuskyva. He never felt to act as a master, to then, he felt to be the man of his family. To be a master, however, was a way to protect his wife and daughter of legal problems at Yfer. After installing the collar to Ionivka, he told her to go to her room; she will find a gift.
The letter that followed the page number points to the clip number within the page in the narrative sequence. The letter "a" always points to the first clip of the page and it is always located at the top-left corner of the page. The second clip would be the letter "b,” etc. The last clip is always at the bottom-right corner of the page. Each clip (a framed picture with dialogs and symbols) of this page has been identified by a lower case letter. The above top half page has 7 clips. I do not intend in identifying every clip of every page of my comic books, but if I my text mentions an important clip, i will just identify it by the letter that corresponds to its sequence order. For example, I will say that "...the clip "c" shows ..."
