Series Title : "Ionivka : Big-Feet Mutant" Episode 1 : "The Posthumous Letters" Because Ionivka was crying and stressed, her monitoring collar send a distress message to her master : her father. This is done automatically, without the knowledge of Ionivka. Her father is the chief aeronautic engineer at his workplace; he is receiving the distress signal directly into his head; nobody else is aware that he is in communication. This is possible because of a peculiar technology that is implanted into the brain of every Fine-Eyes mutant; that device, that was invented and used only by these mutants is identified as : IMPEN, or in English, it would be ENIMP. ENIMP for ElectroNeuronic IMplant. It is a very stealthy communication device that works somewhat like a smartphone, but with the size of a pea. The user operates it mentally : he can hear the device's sound directly into his brain; he can talk directly to the device from what he intends to say from his brain, he can send directly what he is hearing; he can see the device's virtual screen pictures directly into his brain like a lucid dream or like a hallucination; he can send directly what he is seeing, he can draw a picture in his brain and send it; he has total control of that device and on what information or signal that he is sending. Nobody else knows when he is in communication, not even another Fine-Eyes mutant unless he is in communication with. With his "IMPEN,” he can receive signals from electronic devices and he can send commands to such devices; for example, he can be in communication with the monitoring collar of his slave(s). It feels like having telepathy, but it is not. This IMPEN (or ENIMP) technology is one of the themes of my comic-style novel. I create a special comic (or word) balloon style for text or images that are exchanged by the IMPEN method. It is a crossbreed between the thought balloon and the electronic device balloon. The small black arrow indicates that the message is either received (arrow towards the head) or sent (arrow away from the head). In that specific clip, the message is received. In the last clip, you can see a talk balloon, a IMPEN balloon and a thought balloon. In the clip "c" of the top part of this page (See my previous post), you can see a situation rectangle (the blue rectangle just on top of the clip), a talk balloon and an electronic device balloon.
