lol, the 'middle ages'---I never thought of that...It's fitting that I end these comments with this piece, because it's one of the most unusual of your offerings. While this is a drawing board, it could just as easily be one of your abstracts; it has a great energy around the central rectangle (maybe you created some of those energies on purpose). And you have an abstract expressionist feeling in those wild thrown-on strokes (where the open space in the center is a perfect balance). I've always been a fan of the messy surfaces artists work on---they have a language all their own. And if you made any of this by design, you created a big vivid construction. However it was made, I love that you posted a drawing board that has lots of miles on it. You even told us the media...something conceptual about that. Great way to end a session. Terrific stuff, Steve, you're a truly gifted artist.
