Description

Strange title, strange thing ... A very simple work, which is a light and texture study. Not a realistic light (you can see some black shadows in the corner), but the model (metaballs made in Amorphium 1.0) and the textures (procedural colors, but bumps from an image, and variable highlights from the same image) are very impressive ;=) . I'm a beginner in texturing, at this time I think that variable highlights can produce fantastic effects. Maybe my first artwork, as my present definition of artwork is : "something I would like to show in my home", like a painting on a wall ;=) Yves

Wow. Great bump map for a "beginner." And the lighting is, as usual, excellently applied. Very well done, Yves. :)

one of the great advantages of using procedural textures is the way it actually "maps" the object perfectly. wonderful example object and texture. I like the lights as well. great job!!

I really like the soft shadows in this picture. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your 'experiments'. :)

It looks like a wonderful sculpture of Henry Moore... simply and stunning - brought on the important point of a harmonical composition... fantastic artwork, we love it very much :-)))))))

Il manque juste un peu de profondeur de champs pour rendre cela cohent... Bon boulot.

This is cool. It looks like one of those modern Picasso sculptures you'd see at the Chicago Art Museum. Very neat idea and execution, too.
