At first, thank you for the nice comments to my last image: TFLWPT - On Board with Radomer.
It means a lot to me!
It is clear that Ragnor is not someone who unconditionally submits to others. So it was not uncommon for Ragnor to first try to break out of captivity. Unfortunately, his owner was friends with the leader of the Saint Michaels Order, so that soon the military and dogs was on his track. Ragnor realized that his escape had failed and was returned to his owner.
Dominus sought the conversation and showed himself unusually understanding.
"I bought you because I want to see you fighting! I know who you are. Listen, if you fight well and win, I'll deduct an amount of it as a reward and give you the opportunity to buy you free! But first you have to prove to me that you are worth your money! "
Of course, the Ragnor gave up hope of someday becoming a free man again.
However, he did not show much care. In his first fight he killed his opponent. And that, even though he knew he should not kill Dominus' own people. But he remembered the greeting committee well, and his opponent was one of the idiots who could not stop beating him with a club.
Every time Ragnor violated the requirements of his master, he wandered into the hole. A damp and dark dungeon in the basement.
There he also heard for the first time that someone came to secretly dissect the dead, because then was violated the commandments of the church. Ragnor learned that Dominus sold the dead, who were all heathens, to a scholar who dissected the dead. They called the strange guy the corpse-litter.
