Description
Penthesileia is in Greek mythology the daughter of the Amazon queen Otrere and the Olympic war god Ares. In the saga of the Trojan War, she herself is the queen of the Amazons. Penthesilea is mentioned in the Aithiopis, an arctin of Miletus around 750 BC. Cited epic, and around 20 v. Chr. Chr. Short in the Aeneid of Virgil.
