Description

Series Title : "Ionivka : Big-Feet Mutant" Episode 1 : "The Posthumous Letters" The clip "a" shows a Hypercargo atop the "magic carpet" being magnetically levitated and accelerated by a moving magnetic "wave" that is generated on the launch strip. The Hypercargo engines are still "off.” Note: How to put such a heavy Hypercargo atop the "magic carpet" will be explained in the second half of page 13. The Launch strip is energized by 5 nuclear fusion reactors that are nearby along that strip. This magnetic acceleration continues until the Hypercargo reaches the end of the strip (clip "b"). At that point, the Hypercargo speed is just under the speed of sound. Near that end, the chemical propulsion engines start to push the Hypercargo beyond the upward incline at the end of the strip. At the end of the incline, the Hypercargo separates itself from the magic carpet (clip "c"). It goes up initially because of the incline, but soon, it will be falling down, since the Hypercargo has no wings. However, the Hypercargo pitch angle is still upwards and proper. By steering its chemical engines (clip "d"), the spaceship increases its pitch to 90 degrees before it reaches the ground (clip "e"); such feat is possible because of the unique steering capability of these engines. This revolutionary maneuver, nicknamed the acrobat flip, was invented by Dr. Marceau, a Big-Feet mutant, but he lost his mind some time after the first successful demonstration. This flip takes a few seconds to complete. Once vertical, the chemical propulsion engines steer back along the axis of the Hypercargo and then they push it vertically until it reaches 10 km of altitude (clip "f"). At that altitude, the spaceship starts its nuclear fusion powered ionic propulsion engines, as the chemical propulsion engines are being turned off (clip "f"). It goes up like that until its orbit altitude. Note: A fully loaded Hypercargo would weigh about 25,000 tons, about a quarter of the Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier. This is another important technological theme of my comic-style novel. As an adult, Ionivka will be crucially involved with propulsion technology. Her relation with such technology will be multifactorial and multidimensional. Everything is interconnected, but because of censorship laws, I may not develop it in a credible way; pages, pictures and dialogs have been removed ... and destroyed. You will still see many connections, but not all. Poser 5, Poser 6 LibreOffice Paint.Net Anim8or 3d Modeler
