Description

We didn't expect snow this far south, but there it was. Didn't stop us from exploring, for a little while.

This is in Joshua Tree National Park, about 40 min north of Palm Springs. They see snow occasionally, as in every decade or so!

I have never seen the desert, and I have never seen the snow ... much less I would have expected to see them together! By the way, that road has many regulations! excellent photo!

Netot, I never expected to see them together either! We thought we were leaving snow behind for this trip, first time the park had it in around a decade. We eventually got down that road, a few days later when the snow was all gone. It leads to a mine abandoned in the 1930's and some incredible views of the andrea's fault.
