Hi my name is Cody.I am 24 years old & i live in a little town located in north eastern Tennessee called Elizabethton.I have been creating 2D & 3D renders & imaging for about 8 years or so now.I also have around 5 years of webdesign & networking experience. In late 2004 i started looking around the internet (Mostly Youtube) at 3D graphics that a lot of people were creating. That is when i decided to get my hands on some sort of 3D software and give it a try.I think i pretty much tried a little bit of every kind of software that was available at the time (Demo Versions) to see which one i felt the most comfortable with.I then found Maxon Cinema 4D and downloaded a trial version of the software to see how well it functioned and how friendly the user interface was.Needless to say i stuck with it an waited for the newest copy to come out & i bought it(Needless to say it wasn't cheap either).I then grabbed my hands on loads & loads of online tutorials, project files, video & any other helpful materials that i could get my hands on to see what made everything tick and how it functioned.I remember my first model i created myself.I honestly cant remember the guys name but it might of been Chachi but anyways it was here on Renderosity where i got my first piece of helpful advice as well as made some great friends!I was having a problem trying to assign materials and textures to certain parts of the model i had created and that is when Chachi (i think was his name) pointed me in the right direction as well as went as far as taking my model and setting it up the way i need it so i could back through and see what he did so that i could better understand how to do it from then on.I will say everything about maxon was a very tough learning curve at first and can even sometimes be challenging even yet to this day but any who enough about Maxon back to the storie.I just kept on modeling things most in which looked like something a five year old designed in art class(but hey everyone has to start some where) but i was perfectly ok with that atleast i knew i created i did it an that i was making progress!Several days go by then weeks, months, years & next thing i know i find myself creating things without having to ask 50?'s a day & bugging people for answers. The year 2006 was when i started getting serious about my work an decided to push as hard as i could and learn as much as i could.2006 was also a very bad year for me but had it not happened i probably wouldn't be doing very much of anything graphic wise anymore.I got hit head on by a drunk driver an it nearly cost me my life as well as it pretty much disabled me for the rest of my life. That being said i now create 2D & 3D products as well as a little bit of webdesign freelancing on the side & those three things listed above i count on for a major part of my monthly income(even though i barely make any money at all) to me art isn't about money or profit. To me art is about fun, enjoyment, creation, relaxing & most of all accomplishment.Nothing about art is ever easy but the worst thing you could ever possibly do is give up! I know this field can be struggling, stressful and some times down right aggravating but you just have to put your mind to it an push on.This pretty much concludes my Bio (more like a story) but this is the best way i could describe how i got started & why i am still designing to this day.Thank you all very much for taking the time to read my Bio,The best of wishes to all!
