As you so ably and skillfully demonstrate, the atmospherics this product is capable of producing are quite impressive. However, I have yet to use it in any image as the render times are intolerable and I don't have the spare time to let my machine take hours to produce a viewable scene.
Is your experience the same or have you learned how to configure its parameters (the vendor did not respond to my query) to make render times reasonable? I consider anything over two hours, with specific exceptions, unacceptable.

Not really -- this one took probably about 1n hour and a half. I have found that quite often even at 50-60% it is as processed as it is going to get, and I can stop it then with very successful results.
