I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!

I'm just back for one comment this morning, but I want you to know I saw your video on your next upload (exploring the yacht), and it was just fascinating! I am like a kid with this stuff, because I've spent all of 2 hours in Poser. It was amazing to see you piece together the composition, light it, nuance it, coax it, etc. And I didn't realize that your pre-rendered image was that clear. I thought it would be much more sketchy! (I think it would've been great if you'd made everyone sit through the render! You could put one of those visuals from old TV broadcasts: "Sorry. We're experiencing technical difficulties...") I didn't realize how many light sources one uses, too; and the number of options for light and hue (etc) is amazing: Remember that crazy pdf I sent about light from the old masters? It's just amazing what's changed: You have to go through so many steps, so many choices, to light and change hues, etc; and they're so technical and nuanced: The number of choices seems dizzying...and the final render had a softness about it, it was transformed; and then to watch you do things to it...amazing. It gives me even more respect for your final products. (And I honestly didn't know that Betty's outfit was a towel! It almost looks like a dress! Don't tell her I said that!) You must need lots of CPU power to do all that. It's so different from paints and inks; honestly, I feel like I"m living in the 14th C now.
Ok. To the art. Well first off, I look for Easter eggs in everything you do, so I was looking like crazy. And I assume it was the PP2014DS411, right? (I read your comments above, but I'm still not sure.) I think a number of people got that in the end. The 411 is a version number, right? (My version number, btw, is 6.24b. I hope to reach v7 before I die. I can hope...) (I'm turning 70 this year---I'm hiding under my bed for the rest of the year!) I love that they thought there was a key and ignition---for that beast! This whole installment is a lot of fun; and considering that it's just a startup in the front control room, you've made a real carnival out of it, for us. I love the angles, the colors, the light, the intersections. And with the buildings through the windows, you have another whole layer out there. And you have reflections in the floor, and wonderful sweeps (image 3 has that "front window" contained well within the frame, and it gives real sweep to the image). So much contrast here. And the women look dazzling, even betty in her towel, love the colors and your usual way with their fashions, and their hair. Great outfits (I haven't seen too many harbor masters or pilots who dressed like that, lol.) In the last frame, their colors are wonderful all lined up like that. And you have angles in the background too (those big blue beams). This must be a monster model---from your video, it looks like it's got lots of areas and levels: I didn't realize model sets could be that vast. You are totally at home with it and its spaces...A visually beautiful installment, and the women are like kids in a huge playground, which is really cool considering that they're all experts. (I think it would be great if there were actually an ignition, with one of the women turning the key over and over---vrooom, vrooom---while she cusses, banging her foot on the gas pedal, and everyone standing around rolling their eyes...). Terrific chapter, Rod. And you got some major computer surfaces here too---with the buttons and readouts, etc. Great colors there too...

Just stopped by to get caught up on the story! What a treat to read several pages in a row. I can’t believe how many years it’s been! I think you were working on Chapter 1, Page 2 the first time I saw this in the Lair. Crazy! We’ll be back in KC in about a month, and will let you know when we’re home. See you soon!

Awesome. I could actually get a sense of their excitement. I was on research ship a few times and the harbor pilot and backing up sort of brought all of that back in a nostalgic moment. Excellent work to date. As always your attention to detail in every panel and your easter eggs really make this story an eyefest, not to mention the numerous lovely ladies. Keep up the most excellent work dude.
