MONONOKE. The Spirit of the Forest watches over the Fauns... L'Esprit de la Forêt veille sur les Faunes... The title is obviously a tribute to Miyazaki's "Princess Mononoke" and the creature in a sky is not a mononoke but rather a "Kami"; in this scene, he is the Great Forest Spirit in fact ! The mononoke belongs to the "Yokai" the bad spirits. The "Kami" are the spirits or phenomena that are worshipped in the religion of Shinto. They can be elements of the landscape, forces of nature, as well as beings and the qualities that these beings express... Le titre est évidemment un hommage à la "Princesse Mononoke" de Miyazaki. La créature dans le ciel n'est pas un "Mononoke" mais plutôt un "Kami" ! Dans cette scène, c'est en fait l'Esprit de la Grande Forêt ! Les Mononoke appartiennent à la catégorie des "Yokai" qui sont des mauvais esprits. Les "Kami" sont les esprits de phénomènes qui sont vénérés dans le Shintoïsme. Ils peuvent être des éléments du paysage, des Forces de la Nature, aussi bien que des êtres et les qualités exprimées par ces êtres... FULL SIZE HIGHLY RECOMMANDED !!! Non seulement on se réjouit l'oeil en regardant une belle création mais, en plus, on se cultive (du moins, moi !)...J'ai dû aller chercher sur la toile ce qu'est ce Mononoke ! Maintenant je sais...en plus, l'article de Wikipédia me semble fort bien fait à ce propos.
