The story continues from my previous render... While Kenta headed to his village, I ran to where the hyper plane was fly it over Kenta's village to provide cover to Kenta and his people from air just in case these people reached the orc villages. Miho and the wolf went after the groups. Miho had followed the path of destruction all the way until she came across what probably was a natural canal that somewhere in the past actually carried water. She saw a set of track went into the dry canal and the other continued on. She decided to go to the dry canal as she could hear voices nearby. As she walked into the open with the wolf, she was surprised to see 4 women armed to teeth with an old man standing near a armored vehicle. Miho told to herself no way these women and that man were looking for minerals or ores here or belonged to the company whose ship had beached on this island. The women looked like they were trained killers. For them to be here they must be protecting someone important which even the guy she had interrogated before coming this way did not know anything about. He probably had assumed the armored vehicle carried their company security personnel.The moment Miho and the wolf emerged from the tree line, one of the women grabbed the old man and threw him inside the armored vehicle and then got in herself and immediately shut the doors. The other 3 women immediate took aim at Miho and the wolf with their weapons. Miho calmly continued walking towards them. The wolf walked next to Miho but now had started growling. He was in an attack mode. He said to himself he must protect Miho at all cost. One of the women had a sword pointed at theim and each of the other two covered Miho and the wolf with their automatic weapons from either side. One with the swords smirked at Miho and said "Who are you, jungle Jane ?" and they all laughed. As this was happening, inside the armored vehicle the woman (who was actually the leader of this group of trained killers) looked out of the window at the scene unfolding and exclaimed "Shit !!! Boss man, we are in trouble". The old man looked through the window and pointed to Miho and the wolf and said "What, them ? They look harmless. Probably natives of this island curious to see who we are". The woman - "You do not understand" Old man - "What do you mean ? You all are the best of the best trained killers in this world and that too trained by our own government. No one has ever walked away alive from any of you, even special forces trained soldiers. The corporation pays you a ton of money for your skillset to protect me and others" The woman - "That girl is no ordinary girl" Old man - "How do you know ?" The woman - "My gut tells me and my gut is never wrong. That is how I have survived this long in the killing busines" Old man - "Don't make me laugh ! Look at her. She is half naked for goodness' sake and just standing there. She has no weapons and the wolf is just a stupid animal. Your team is armed and has them covered". The woman - " Just watch, she will overpower my team" The old man was suddenly feeling less sure about things and starting to sweat even though it was air conditioned inside the armored vehicle. "No way...." he said. The woman - "I don't think I can protect you from her" Old man (nervously) - "Now now, that's silly... you.. you.. you are the best... you have killed hundreds of men and women who were trained killers / soldiers like you are, she is just a native jungle girl out for a walk with her pet and has chanced upon us" The woman - "that girl standing there who you think is a nobody is going to get in here and end both you and me" The old man was really nervous now because this killer next to him was saying all these in a no-nonsensical way. "She can't get in here. We have the doors locked form the inside" the old man said. The woman - "I fear that is no barrier for her..." Old man - "No way she can get through three inch of armored protection. This vehicle is even bomb proof" The woman - "It will not matter" Old man (fearfully) - "Let's get out of here" The woman - "Go where ? We are in the middle of godforsaken nowhere and that to on an island ! Anywhere we go she will find us." Boss man (very fearful now) - "Call for help" The woman (starting to loose her patience) - "You already know none of our communication gear works in this godforsaken place." Old man - "The... The... The Co.... Cor... Corporation will punish you if aaa... an... anything happens to me" The woman - "I won't be alive so it does not matter... but don't worry, I will do my job and protect you until my last breath. Not that it is going to do you any good." Outside, Miho had walked within a couple of steps of the 3 women and that was the group's first and fatal mistake. Probably because Miho was smiling and was half naked and there where no weapons on her, they thought she was harmless and all three thought they could easily kill her and the wolf in any case... Miho started to talk in orc tongue... The wolf knew Miho was just trying to get their guard down further. If she spoke English, they will immediately be on their full guard because they won't be expecting that. The 3 women looked at each other and back to Miho. "Eng...lish, speak English ???" Miho continue speaking orc tongue as though she did not understand anything they were saying.... The one with the swords said "We don't have time for this jungle Jane, lets end this. Let me have the first go at this jungle girl and her little wolfie. Let's do a wager. I kill them in 3 seconds". The other two women said "Sure, sure" in unison. One of them said "if you take longer you will be doing our dishes and laundry for a month" and they all laughed. To them it never occurred that it might be that they were the ones who might end up dead. The one with the swords started to move and then...... The story will continue from the next render...

Finally the continuation of the story ! That was a long break in between :p ! I had fun with this one and guess what, it rendered in 20 minutes so definitely the 10 hour + render on the "Intruders" render was some kind of freak material conversion from IRAY to Octane on one of the 3 characters I had added to the scene. Though this rendered pretty fast for this kind of heavy scene, it took me hours and hours to position the feet of all of them properly and build the whole scene. In the Daz viewport the ground is flat. The unevenness is there because of the displacement texture. So it was like, adjust the feet, test render to see if it goes into the ground or does not appear to rest on the ground properly, adjust the feet, test render to see if it goes into the ground or does not appear to rest on the ground properly, adjust the feet,,,, and on and on and on.... you get the picture and I had to do that for the 4 girls and the wolf. Then was the wolf's eyes. For the ground, I just used a normal square primitive and set the Quixel texture I was using in my last few renders. To get the embankment on both sides, I used a one sided slope prop and made many instances of it and arranged them around in a curve on both sides forming the canal bed and embackment. Then added a forest billboard on the far side to cover the sky. The idea for the scene and the continuation of the story only came to me yesterday while I was coming back home from work. More I thought about it the more I liked it so decided to run with it. Had fun posing the characters and creating the scene.... but.... now the next scene will be a bigger challenge as Miho and the wolf need to get past the 3 of them.... Will see what I can come up with...
