A new planet with a nod to its conceptual originator Eric (Cire).

A complex world....amazing detail...it fires the imagination!
woz2002
A simple world AL...using MIN and MAX in a 90º Rotation for the intersecting formations with WorldPos materials.

Great work Warren, love the details. Also great to see you posting :) What were the render times like on those very steep surfaces?
woz2002
@Lewis it was rendered on AA6 GD4 actual size and started at 16:00 in the afternoon as a single render (non tile) and finished sometime during the night. Ive always lurked and taken a radical turn in life. Now working for the NHS as an Analyst and getting engaged and moving to Oxford in May to live with partner so slowly getting back on track :) I`ll add the file to freestuff at some point soon :) The mats are a subset of those I created on Carsyphuce...lots of stuff Ive done over the years is lost :((

Very cool! It reminds me a little of termite mounds which are actually quite complex.
woz2002
Reminds me of rice paddies :)

hey, WoZ :)
Sorry to hear of your lost work! I recently realized that I was about to do the same thing but fortunately, the ol' laCie fired up one last time & I was able to copy almost 5,000 files to a more modern back-up media.
Great to see you posting here. I really like the reflections in the ponds & your displacement-mats are top drawer!

Cheers Jimmy...yep reflections work best with terrain deformations rather than heavy displacements...so I can afford to some degree to reflective stuff. One of the lessons from the past is that I was and some others too heavy displacement orientated in the materials when wanting to add reflective surfaces as disps don't reflect a mojo memory render trade-off. Ive cranked open Mojo and started playing more with terrain formation and reduced material displacements, There is as always arguments for 2 sides of the coin :))

please excuse the poor use of grammar...words from the head and fingers on the keyboard are at odds nowadays...lol :)
