Description
So, I finally put my humble CGI skills to good use to create the official cover for my ebook, which I hope isn't totally shabby (the cover, not the book, the latter of which is of course totally awesome).
Rendered in DAZ Studio Iray *and* 3Delight, as I couldn't get the planet to look half-decent in Iray. Apart from the Genesis 8 Female figure and some hair from over at DAZ, a couple of art assets from Renderosity were used (see credits below). The mighty Fay-class ship Ghost Light II was built from scratch in blender, as was the ship's control orb that our plucky characters have gathered around. To round things off, everything was squished through some filters in GIMP.

The cover looks great (Way better than a great many of them out there) One suggestion for the planet it to turn it into an emissive, after all planets do reflect sunlight so it might work to make it a light source. Good luck on the book. Is it on Amazon?

Thanks - it is on Amazon, though the Smashwords edition is currently free.
I agree emissive would probably work well with a full disk, but that wasn't really an option here, as the planet needed a dark side for that extra bit of sinisterness. ;-)

Very nice work on the cover for your eBook. You can also use a glossy material for the planet and light it with a large soft light source.
