the above link is of a large I beam for a bridge. when I was working in a steel company my work involved I beams far larger than this one. the top and lower plate was 12 inches thick and the vertical member was thicker than that, but I forgot the size. luckily the plant was not far from the river crossing, but still the streets in the area were closed to any traffic. I had no knowledge when the move was for so I missed seeing it.
