Description

It's one of those 3D Magic Eye Stereograms. Except this one was done by hand in Pen & Ink, Inspired by the song "My Mind Is Hazy" by Galactic. Peace, Dave

I have never been able to resolve one of these jobs. I think my eyes just want to break down form and colour into a sublimated verity? The little trail of yellow at the bottom seems to absolve me from having to linger for the answer. Saying that! I cant help seeing the silhouettes of little figures at the windows of their perfect habitations.

I managed to do a monochrome 3d image like this a couple of years ago. I got myself a big sheet of graphing paper, worked for several hours, and made a smiley face (a really cool smiley face, with different depth levels, but a smiley face nonetheless). About 5 months ago I tried to do it again and failed miserably. It never passed my mind that filling in boxes with colors would also work, and do so much better. Congrats for being cleverer than I am, and I'll be looking at the other one next.

Brendan, if you want to see one of these you can't look at what's actually there. You need to focus "through" the image. Try this... look across the room and focus on something 10-12 feet away. Without changing your focus hold one finger up in front of you. If you are still focused across the room it will appear that there are two of your finger. These work the same way. Focus through the image, not on it. I hope this helps.

tuerda, I'd love to see your stereogram. Any chance of getting a look at it? I don't understand how your's was done, and would enjoy checking it out.
