The APER is a special type of space shuttle that is used for carrying repair, maintenance or inspection duties on a constantly accelerating large spaceship. It has to accelerate at the same rate as the spaceship, while being on a maintenance mission just outside the main spaceship. An APER shuttle is staffed with a pilot and a robot arm operator. It uses a high-flux propulsion engine and it requires massive cooling panels (the "wings" of that space shuttle). It has a remote-controlled robot arm that can carry tools required for specific duties. It has, also, 2 huge pivot-able light projectors for aiming a powerful lighting towards the area that needs to be worked on. There is a hook, in front, for the purpose of anchoring it to a "docking" zone on the accelerating spaceship. It is quite an unusual spaceship. If you look at the picture that I posted Feb 21, 2019 (Ionivka; Episode 1 : page 10a-d), you might find an unfinished 3D version of that space shuttle; I will let you find out where it is. On that page segment, we see the pilot of an APER who is getting it out from a damaged docking tunnel within a larger, Stingray-class, spaceship. I will show much better views of that huge spaceship at a later posting. Ionivka occupies the seat of a robot arm operator, as a simple passenger. She will execute a visual inspection of the propulsion engines of the interstellar spaceship, in full accelerating stage.
