Description
Vue of the main building from the park. The buildings (palaces) and park where build at the end of the nineteenth century at the same time as the buildings at the Jubelpark in Brussels (see Jubelpark). They where build for the worlds fair of 1898 at Brussels. The buildings in Tervuren show cased the colony of Congo (Congo-Vrijstaat it was still king Leopold II private property, in 1908 it became the Belgian colony). They also build an avenue (de Tervurenlaan/Avenue de Tervuren) and a tramway to connect the two sites.
