more of your eye at work...I don't know if LA has more shoes than other cities, but somehow you find them and bring out their photogenic qualities. (Well maybe LA has more than Chicago because LA is warm, and people are more likely to abandon shoes there than in freezing chicago. But still: To sense them, to find them the way you do is remarkable...) A top and bottom shot, and the gray of the sidewalk matches the darker grays of the sandals. You caught a real gray-day feel here, almost a sleepy gray day; and it's so well reflected in the sleepy, not-too-characterful sandals. You caught that mood perfectly, urban, gray, dozy...Boy would I love to have a book of all of these...
