Description

The raccoon, or more precisely the common raccoon, is a species of omnivorous mammals of the carnivorous order. Originally from America, this species was last introduced into Europe in the 1930 (after the last introduced population had disappeared a century earlier). He owes his name to his more or less real habit of soaking his food in water before eating it. The animal, of the procyonidae family, is essentially nocturnal and climbs trees easily thanks to its agile fingers and sharp claws. He has a pepper and salt coat with light red tints. It is easily recognizable by its black mask with white borders around the eyes and its tail alternating light and black rings. Raccoons adapt to many natural environments. Opportunistic and easy to tame, he also ventured into North American cities (Canada, United States). Their behaviour varies according to gender and region. He is still hunted for his fur.

I trapped raccoons for some of my former clients and took them to the local Police station and I would leave them there. the police would release them in the country side and they would return my traps
