I have been working with PD's materials for about 7 years and they have always made such a difference to my Poser work. So, imagine how frustrated I became when I had to re-learn materials for Daz Studio! Grr! It took me all my time to get a decent image out and the Shader part just went out of my head.
Janet has been so very helpful and I feel really guilty that real life got in the way, but I'm back in the saddle now!
But it's best foot forward now!! I took my first Baby steps last night and Oh Boy! I got a result! This is a G2 Dress with materials I added!! I also re-structured Lully's lovely open-toed shoes and used...Yes! You guessed it! PArrot Dolphin's Leather Shader! Yippee!
This is the result with lots of bits and pieces for Goldie! ROFL!

Lovely work on the textures. Good to learn something new :). It takes a bit of willingness to fiddle around. And the more you do the more easy it becomes. Keep at it :) !

LOL, love your bits and pieces! They look really good and add so much to the scene. (Probably got folks wondering, what the heck are these two talking about.) I would be lost without PD's textures...and with just a little adjustment, they work in SuperFly... I know if they didn't work in SF, I would still be using P10. You did a super job retexturing the dress, Steve--it's beautiful.

Beautifully done and it's great that you're expanding on your knowledge of DS along with its shaders, etc. Great use of shaders and your girl looks soft and pretty. Great image!
