Description
Coming from an engineering background I've always been interested in all things mechanical, especially when it comes to vehicles.
Not of interest to everyone I know but There are some who might like this.
Thanks for looking.
Mike.

Looks good MIke. I have always been fascinated by mechanical things. Had a habit of taking things apart when I was a kid just to see how they worked. Though life took a different path, my interest in them is still there :).

Being a Mechanical Engineer, these are my bread and butter. Look good. What's the machine? How did you model it? DAZ Studio is not exactly ideal for mechanical bits, making this really rather impressive. Regards, Richard.

Thanks everyone. It's is the workings of a car gearbox. Daz Studio doesn't make it easy to render this sort of project and does require a bit of work.

Being a former mechanic, this image speaks volumes to me! A most superbly detailed image and fine looking creation! Bravo! Very well displayed!

Mechanics has been my passion for many years too and I was happiest when working in the vehicle workshops.

From this angle, it looks like the speedometer drive takes a tapered pin. Better that than a woodruff key and circlip AKA Jesus clip. When it flies across the shop you holler "Jesus!" I just watched a tube video rebuild of a landrover gearbox. Fack me, Whitworth bolts. Anyhow Great model and textures.

OK, Mike! Now you're just showin' off!!! I just love this stuff. I really like the old, red, worn paint on the casing and externals.

Dave, I knew you'd like this
Spad007: I remember British Standard Whitworth. When I first started in the workshops we had a 1971 Land Rover as a breakdown vehicle, slow, rough and noisy but so much fun.
