Un jour mon Prince viendra
Combien de fois une adolescente s’est dit cela en prenant des poses devant le miroir de la salle de bains.
« Miroir, miroir sur le mur, dis-moi qui est la plus belle. » Combien de temps encore à attendre que ce reflet ne soit plus celui d’un vilain petit canard devant ce prince que tu espères en poster. Pour l’heure la pièce se transforme en chambre d’écoute (cf Magritte) où le moindre objet devient transitionnel pour donner vie aux rêves.
Some day my Prince will come
How many times did a teenager say that by taking poses in front of the mirror in the bathroom?
"Mirror, mirror on the wall, tell me who is the most beautiful.” How long can one wait until this reflection is no longer that of an ugly duckling before this prince whom you hope in poster? For the moment the room is transformed into listening room (see Magritte) where the least object becomes transitional to give life to dreams.

Another wonderful render in this series. I believe this one is has references to the fairy-tale of Cinderella.... something all teenage girls, if they have read that story Cinderella, will like to think of themselves as Cinderella....

Thank you. It's Cinderella, indeed. I liked to visualize this idea that some girls think themselves ugly, unattractive, while the eyes of others find them wonderful. Covered with ashes, she protects herself while waiting for someone who can tell her that she is beautiful.
