LADY OF THE SKY. Photoshop + Filters FULL SIZE HIGHLY RECOMMANDED ! This mask is from a photo took by my friend Evelyne P. at the Carnaval of Annecy, the first of April of this year. These Carnaval outfits are created generally on a personnal theme and this one is built on the Pharaonic Egypt theme... Notre-Dame de Paris burned! I made this image before the disaster that hit us all in the heart! And I take the opportunity to recall that Christianity has never really broken with the traditions that preceded it, contrary to what most people believe! The Virgin Mary succeeded Isis who already held the child Horus on her lap and the cathedrals were erected on the site of ancient sanctuaries where the Black Virgins were venerated. Moreover "cathedral" comes from the Latin "cathedra" which means "seat, chair" and Isis was represented in Pharaonic Egypt by a chair ! No break in Tradition!... Notre-Dame de Paris a brûlé! J'ai fait cette image avant la catastrophe qui nous a tous frappés au coeur! Et j'en profite pour rappeler que le Christianisme n'a jamais vraiment rompu avec les traditions qui l'ont précédé, contrairement à ce que la plupart des gens croient! La Vierge Marie succéda à Isis qui tenait déjà l'enfant Horus sur ses genoux et les cathédrales furent érigées sur le site d'anciens sanctuaires où les vierges noires étaient vénérées. De plus "cathédrale" vient du latin "cathedra" qui signifie "siège, chaise" et Isis était représentée en Egypte pharaonique par une chaise! Pas de rupture dans la Tradition! C'est une superbe composition sur le thème de l'Egypte, avec un soupçon de scifi à la Enki Bilal (l'oiseau), j'aime aussi beaucoup le paysage du fond.........magnifique travail, Gilles !

Mon cher Gilles, tu nous épates non seulement avec ton talent mais aussi avec ta grande culture. Il est effectivement bon de rappeler cette continuité ignorée voire niée pas beaucoup. Quant à ton image elle est de nature à nous emmener au ciel ! Un grand bravo.
