Description
Geraint, Prince of Devon, marries Enid, and they are passionately in love. Geraint is mad with the thought that if he leaves his wife to attend to his duties, she will take a lover, just as Arthur's queen Guinevere was rumoured to have done.
He spends so much time in the marriage bed it is noised abroad that he has lost his edge and gone soft. Through an innocent misunderstanding he comes to believe that Enid has been unfaithful.
There then follows a series of adventures, a kind of Dark Age road movie, in which Geraint proves himself to be a redoubtable knight, and Enid a resourceful and faithful wife.
This is an ancient tale found both in Welsh and French versions. I enjoyed it in the version told by Tennyson in the Idylls of the King.

The pose between the couple is perfect. Must have taken ages. Like the story, and rarely hear/see my mother's name of Enid these days. All-in-all, I admire this image greatly. Regards, Richard.

Wonderful posing and lighting. I particularly like the expression. You can see doubts in his face and she looks genuinely concerned about him. Well staged.
