Based on Howie Farkes "Valle Alpina" over at the "D" place, something I purchased a long time ago but never really used. (Sorry, DS and Poser folks, it's only available as a Carrara scene.) Standard Carrara render engine with gamma correction and using Howies excellent "fake GI" lighting included with the set. Made a few tweaks to lighting and shader parameters. No postwork other than the logo. This image is a victory of sorts. About a month ago I lost a hard drive - of course the one with Carrara and my runtimes on it. I reinstalled Carrara on a new drive and it was seriously broken - no browser thumbnails, things wouldn't load, simply posing something would crash the program. I'm still pressed for time because of Real World stuff so after more than a week of no joy trying this and that, I went to support at the "D" place: A day or two of exchanging info, sending screen shots etc., then I begged them to tell me how to do a legit clean install. Another week and a half of electronic silence. Finally in desperation I downloaded a de-installation utility that completely removed all traces of Carrara on disk and in the registry. Voila! Now able to do a real clean install, this fixed all the problems. Now I just have to reload all that runtime mess... (looking at calendar and watch)...maybe later. Larry
