Note: I am playing the mad scientist. I asked many questions about his ability to take care of Mera, to be a good husband, about his view of his commitments, and many more; I made him feel that he had a hard time to convince me in approving his plan to marry Mera. I was convinced but I had 3 objectives : one, it is to help him in his reflection about his new life; second, it is not to have a bias effect on his decision, third, it is to make him feel as if he has fought to convince me about his plan. When I finally gave him my approval, he felt proud to succeed convincing me; that was important for his masculinity; it is a way for me in training him to be a man worthy of taking care of a woman, especially a woman with some limitations. I knew, like so many Chinese man, that he is alone and sad for not having a feminine companion; that is the common problem in China that I had mentioned before*, since they’re far more men than women there. He was aware that she cannot have children because of a DNA defect, but he is looking for a feminine companionship, and from that, to get a sense of purpose in life ... as a couple.
