I'm a retired french art teacher and one of my hobby is to work on my computer to make 3D models : old cars, trucks, planes, buildings and so on.
My other hobbies? Playing blues or rock'n roll with my friends, trekking, visiting museums and famous places all around the world, reading good books!
My 3D models are available on RR in a store called 3DClassics.

Ah enfin! Quelque chose de civilisé!

Outstanding model of the truly iconic French car. It put the average French family on the road for the first time. Fantastic details and so many improvements that I look forward to rendering this fine model. Take good care of yourself my friend.

Your car models have always been great and very detailed. I have bought a few of them. I like the update to this one. 10 years ago and now, things in the 3D world is definitely very different. The tools are so much more advanced and a lot more can be done today that possibly could not have been done previously. It is good to know it works fine in Daz Studio. I did always believed you and Eric had restricted your customer base and earning by mostly targeting only Poser users. There is a huge Daz user base that would love to use your iconic models. Yes, it probably will involve more work for you and Eric and it may not be something you both might want to do. But I am seeing more of the 'tested in Daz Studio' comment on your store items and that gives me hope.
Please do take care of yourself and don't strain yourself after your operation. The body needs time to heal after any operation. Take your time with the updates and new models. I am sure everyone here will be more than happy to wait.

They look great!

I remember this car. It was beloved by students in Europe in the 70ies and 80ies like the VW Beetle. But now you don't see it on the streets any more. It was not well suited for cold weather and had problems to start when it was cold. Yeah... lot of memories...

I look forward to it being available. The first memory I have of a 2CV was of a 2CV6 in Germany. The couple had their portraits painted on the front doors, and travelling north through W Germany we waved at them every time we passed each other for 200 miles (320km). We were in a van towing a caravan and overtook them up the hills, and they overtook us down the hills. They were enjoying themselves so much it made me want to get one. So, when I got my first car in 1990, it could only be a Red & White Dolly. That was murdered in an accident in 1991, and in quick succession I had a rusty Dyane and a fantastic Orange Special. Then we got our last 2CV, a 1988 Maroon & Black Charleston. I also broke up a yellow & black Charleston for spares. We still have the Charleston, though she's not been on the road for 14 years. One day we'll get her going again. Our Charlie got us to the Tyrol in Austria from Kent in 13 hours, 650 miles including a ferry crossing. At times going through the Ardennes we approached 90 mph (144kmh) and I thought the speedometer needle had dropped off, but it was behind the facia. The car had risen 6" (150mm) on its suspension at that speed. Wonderful car, wonderful memories.
The model is amazing. To my eyes, it looks perfect, though I have never been in a 2CV4. The sparsity of instruments looks perfect. Shame the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car. I look forward to it being on sale.
