That receding wetness fx on the rocks as the water falls is brilliant!

There's a bit of 'uncanny valley' thing going on with the way the water rises and falls out in the water. I feel like it needs to 'roll' more, somehow. Not sure I can explain... And it'd likely be moot with any significant camera flight.
I agree that the receding wetness is amazeballs!

Hmm... you seem to be on to something here. ;)
One thing that I should have mentioned was that the camera is only 10-meters AGL - so the waves are not all that big.
I think that the strangest bit is that the wave hits the rocks at the same time along the entire beach. I came up with a few ideas for correcting that during the three day render session but it will be awhile before I can get back to it.
Thanks for the feedback!

:) Ive been using wet and dry sands in my render materials for quite a while but its really cool to see it animated. I agree about the water...it looks like its being lifted by a giant plate under the waters rather than tidal which would give it a greater feeling of fluid dynamics IMHO......but FD ios damned hard to replicate especially in mojo,,,,tide vs returning force etc etc. Keep em coming JS :)
