With Steve and Rod, I thought petrified wood too; but then it looked like stone; and maybe it has some fossils in it too, at least the imprints of fossils. A fascinating chunk, where full size is a must. Great find---it looks like someone strafed it with an iron rake, or like it was from an ancient cave with glyphs carved into it. Nicely composed too, with the two backgrounds (top and bottom). A little beast sleeping amidst the wood chips...
