My Alter ego..... Artist who makes Las Vegas, Nevada (yup Sin City) his home. BIO Im just an artist who likes to create very simple stuff. Mostly using airbrush, but I have done some work on the computer sometimes using Illustrator, PhotoShop, Poser 7.0 sometimes, just for figure reference. ...alright, so I lied...Poser 7 like 98% of the time now.

Nice! I think it's all a question of getting used to the UI. As a former Poser User, I now have quite a bit trouble to get used to the UI of Poser or the render settings...
Well there is a setting where you can define where your libraries are or you can have DAZ-Studio search on your disks for Runtime folders and content (even those who are scattered all over). It will detect DAZ content and Poser Content.
The render time is vastly depending of your lighting setup. I can do IRAY renders which are perfect in just about 10 Min or so. Indirect lighting will always make the render times going through the roof. And yes, DAZ-Studio is unfortunately very prone to crashes. I lost already a lot of work that way...

Learning you are, young padawan. When you look at the Daz side, careful you must be. For the Daz side looks back

Beautiful indeed. All the textures look good too.
It it just the matter of getting used to the UI. Daz is new to you so it will always appear very different than Poser. But once you get familiar with it, it will be second nature. If you have any questions regarding it, ask with your post or send a site mail, I am sure people will respond.
