Description

well, this day has been screwy also. I went and walked. afterwards I realized I needed to change the oil in my 4Runner. I went to where Mobil one Full Synthetic Oil was on sale. they removed the oil and tried to remove the filter with a cheap tool that was not the right one. they told me that they had to decline finishing it because they could not remove the filter housing. I went to Toyota and asked if they could take a look at it. the other place had left their tool stuck on the housing. when they used the correct tool, the filter came right off. all I had to pay was $6 for the new filter. so I ended up with an oil change and filter for less than $10.00. this tundra has a lift kit on it and I can not see into the bed. it is a very tall pickup. would not fit into my garage for height or length

Very sturdy looking ride. Just quite a ways out of my price range, I'm sure! Nice photo and story about your oil change! Sure glad it didn't turn into a nightmare story as it easily could have. When I worked for Sears back in the 80s in ND, we had a new kid that hadn't worked on cars a lot. He changed oil on one customers care and didn't tighten the drain plug. They lived out in the country and we got a call from them before close of business day saying to send a wrecker truck to retrieve their car. The drain plug vibrated out and spilled out the engine oil. Luckily, they stopped the engine right when the oil light came on so the engine didn't get damaged but is was a hard lesson for the kid to learn. They didn't fire him and as long as I worked there, he never forgot to tight a drain plug again. LOL. I only lasted at that job a few months myself. It didn't pay squat! Was one of the reasons I would up here in Arizona.

Sweet looking ride indeed, but I've never understood the logic of a pickup truck so high you have to use a stepladder to get to the bed.. I guess I'm too pragmatic. LOL

Cool shot, Richard.
