Ryan manages the pub in the Sailmaker’s Arms. He does not own the inn. In fact who owns it seems something of a mystery. Local legend has it that a prior owner died under mysterious circumstances. Ryan is paid a salary by the bank that acts for the owner and he keeps a portion of any profit. The atmosphere is not all that cheery. Regulars huddle at the bar and guests are invited to sit at the tables where they can take in the sea view.
