A great tribute to the heroes of two moments that marked the story. Day D marked the beginning of the end of Hitler, and September 11, the beginning of the end of Bin Laden.

When my students ask me what a hero is, I tell them about a line of firefighters walking towards the inside of one of the twin towers. It is an image that I will never forget.
