after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

Folks tell her to keep the beast locked up; you know she'll do otherwise. Summon your best Barbarian and Paladin!
That beastie is going on my wishlist. Hopefully the work weekend goes by fast for you, Steve.

Man, I really hope people see your work full size: It reveals so many of your choices. The beast is terrific: Full view, it has great pink-tinged light, with great glowing eyes and a 'paw' sticking through the grating. By contrast, you made your model all silver-gray: She is the only gray thing in the picture, and that makes her really stand out. (And she's consummately clothed, along with that ram's horn staff.)
The surrounding is like a Medieval dungeon, with great fire receptacles, and all that dark. Plus what look like gigantic elephant tusks on pedestals (!): Love those things, as if they're what the beast-keeper caught on her many expeditions. You've used a pov from a balcony---love the way you look down on the scene---and your light and shadow are typically dramatic and mysterious. Another terrific job, Steve. One has to see your darker pieces in full view to see how much detail you put into them. (And your title---lower left---is in beautiful peach-gold tones, which look beautiful against this backdrop.)
