Description
You are here at last !
I have waited so long for you to return, my Lord.
Ever since The Goddess took you from me all those years ago.
I have existed here, in this cave, safe from all your enemies, just as you planned, with all our cats and other friends, hoping that you would return.
Have I not done well, my Lord?
How long?
Do you ask that, my Lord?
Not a year, nor a dozen years, nor even a zandred years; I have waited a dozen zandred years - a Great Year, and more.
What human woman can compete with me?
Why did I wait, my Lord?
Because I am yours and you are mine.
I have waited, patiently, uncomplaining, all this time.
But you have returned to me, my Lord.
And I am ready to serve you as before.
(Zandred: a word invented as an alternative for 'gross' - a dozen dozen, or 144 in Earth's common system of counting.)
As with so many of my little images, the words came to me first in the small hours this morning.

If I did this math right: one zandred is 144 years (the dozen's dozen), so 12 zandrens are the equivalent of 1,728 Earth years! I hope it was worth the wait for both of them!

Love that robot.

Superb but (to me) slightly chilling render. Did she have to wait for so long that the original human form she previously had succumbed to old age and her consciousness had to be transferred to a new cybernetic body, so that she would now live on indefinitely, but as a cold mechanical device that's just not quite human? :(

She has always been a robot, and over the years has acquired some human characteristics; powered by sunlight and a back-up tiny atomic battery. And it seems she is very fond of her 'Lord' ...
